The One on the Right is on the Left - Johnny Cash

J.R. Cash was born February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas, USA to Ray and Carrie Cash. He was given the name J.R. because his parents couldn't agree on a name, just initials. It wasn't until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (who wouldn't accept just initials) that he legally took the name John R. Cash.

Johnny Cash began his music career in 1954 when he walked in to Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee hoping to sign a record deal. His first songs, "Hey Porter" and "Cry Cry Cry" were released in 1955.

Johnny Cash
died in 2003, just 4 months after his beloved wife, June Carter Cash, passed away.
